La parola “fakir” è un termine arabo che sta ad indicare chi realizza magie, in particolare esibizioni ad effetto come gli incantatori di serpenti.
“Fakear”, il suo nome dice, dunque, tutto. E’ legato al mondo orientale, ad una “Dark Land”, che egli stesso ci racconta nel suo omonimo album, biglietto di sola andata che farà viaggiare lontano le nostre menti.
Ed infatti proprio facendo leva sul nostro senso uditivo Fakear ci incanta, e lo fa come gli incantatori di serpenti, con lo stesso stile e lo stesso fascino. Ticchettando ininterrottamente, ripetutamente sulle tastiere dei suoi pad ci prende per mano e ci guida verso queste terre “Sauvages”; sveglia i nostri sensi, sblocca quella parte che è un po’ sogno ed un po’ mistero dentro di noi.
Inizialmente adocchiato per le sue performances durante i warm up per artisti di enorme rilievo sulla scena elettronica sperimentale internazionale come Flume o Wax Tailor, è con il suo secondo EP, “Morning In Japan” (2013), che Fakear ha iniziato a costruire la sua strada verso il successo, seguendo le orme di Flying Lotus o Bonobo.
Allora, viene accolto sotto le ali di Radio Nova, una delle FM più famose in Francia che lo aiuterà a crescere professionalmente. Ora suona dappertutto, su grandi e piccoli stage, grazie soprattutto alla guida della piccola label Nowadays Records.
Il primo tour, svoltosi nella sua stessa patria, è durato tutta l’estate 2014 fino a Settembre e probabilmente conquisterà presto terre lontane, come gia ha fatto in Gappone.
Questo giovane talento, forgiato dalla cultura di una piccola – ma non troppo – città a nord della Francia, viaggia ben più lontano con la sua musica. Con vocals che ricordano le bellezze dell’Arabia, circondate da migliaia di granelli di sabbia del deserto, o magnifiche donne asiatiche che cantano nel cuore della giungla. Questa ricetta, composta da voci etniche e dalla sua abile tecnica di mixaggio di sonorità elettroniche, in un orgia dove synths, vocals e bassi si uniscono e crescono in un’impressionante armonia melodica. Meglio delle parole c’è solo la musica; godetevela. Pronti per essere “Sauvage”?

The term “fakir” is an arabic word which (désigne) people who realise magical acts, particulary like charming snakes.
“Fakear” this name makes its announcement, relates to an oriental part, a Dark Land, where will travel our minds.
It is in using our hearing sensibility that Fakear managed to charm us like the snakes. In playing with his fingers on the keys of the boards, on the touch of his pads and other electronic intruments, he takes us with him in those Sauvages lands. To wake up our senses, to unlock the dreamy and mysterious part of us.
Firstly but lightly noticed for his performences at the first parts of Flume or Wax Tailor, it is with his second EP Morning in Japan, that Fakear started to build his way of success, in the steps Flying Lotus or Bonobo, and has been taken under the wings of Radio Nova, famous french FM, to make him grows. He is now everywhere on stages pushed up by the little label Nowadays Recordes. He did his first tour in France all summer long and in september, and will probably conquest soon souls and ears abroad (like he already did with his tour in Japan).
This young guy from a northen city of france, travels miles away with his musics. With vocals which make think about arabic beauties sourrounded by the sand of the desert, or gorgeous asiatic singing in the middle of the jungle. Adding to this ethnical voices an amazing mixing of electronic sounds, in an orgy where the synthes, vocals, basses gather in an truely and melodical harmony.
